Well, I had the day off (the joy of working for the State, so to speak). It was a rainy day, but that didn’t stop Milly from chasing a squirrel into the palm tree. She then proceeded to sit under the tree, staring up into the rain, for several minutes in hopes that it would reappear. It never did…
Eventually we had to bring her back inside, so she sat and stared at the tree through the door looking all down-hearted…
Oh, and for those that don’t know… the blue thing around her neck is a “pro-collar” to keep her from biting/chewing on her back hips. It’s much nicer than the plastic e-collars that are out there, though also more expensive… Anyway, it is air-filled so she bounces off things and can eat/drink with it on. She’s actually gotten “attached” to it now and doesn’t seem bothered by wearing it most of the time…
These pictures crack me up. She looks so forlorn. And the pic of her looking up at the palm tree is classic Milly. She’s very focused. I don’t think, however, that she will ever realize that she will not actually ever catch her nemesis, the squirrel. I also believe she thinks there is just ONE squirrel and not actually several pointing and laughing at our poor Moo.
really sad part is that I’m pretty sure the squirrel had long since left the tree via the fence on the other side…
